HTX Pads is a family-run short-term rental host based in Houston, Texas. This policy covers the websites htxpads.com and www.htxpads.com, our booking widget, and the guest portal we send to booked guests.

What you tell us.

• Contact details you submit through our forms: name, email address, phone number, and your message.
• Stay details: the property you are interested in, your dates, and party size.
• Booking information: reservation dates, amounts, special requests, and payment records created when you book.
• Chat messages you send to our on-site assistant, and anything you tell us by email, phone, or text.
• Marketing preferences, such as opting in to hear about repeat-guest rates.

What is collected automatically. When you visit the site we record standard technical information — pages viewed, referring site, approximate location, browser and device type, and campaign tags on the link you clicked (for example utm_source or fbclid). This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, and is used in aggregate to understand which properties and pages people look at.

What we receive from others. If you book through a travel platform, we receive your name, contact details, and reservation details so we can prepare for your stay.

• To answer enquiries, confirm availability, and manage your reservation.
• To send booking confirmations, check-in instructions, and guest portal access.
• To process payments and issue refunds where a cancellation policy allows it.
• To provide our on-site chat assistant and respond to messages you send it.

We do not make decisions about you by automated means that have a legal or similarly significant effect.

We share personal information only with the service providers who help us run the business, and only to the extent they need it to do their job:

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of HTX Pads, our guests, or our neighbours. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.

Our site uses cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: keeping the site working, and measuring traffic with Google Analytics 4. Analytics cookies record things like which property pages you viewed and how you arrived at the site.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you block third-party cookies. Blocking analytics cookies will not stop you from browsing or booking.

We keep booking and payment records for as long as we are required to for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. Enquiry and marketing data is kept until you ask us to remove it or tell us to stop contacting you. Chat transcripts are retained by our chat provider under its own retention settings.

Depending on where you live — including California and Texas residents — you may ask us to:

• Confirm what personal information we hold about you and provide a copy.
• Correct anything that is inaccurate.
• Delete personal information we no longer need to keep.
• Stop using your information for marketing.
• Explain how we collected, used, or shared your information.

Our site is served over HTTPS, access to guest records is limited to the people who need it, and check-in codes and door instructions are only visible inside the private guest portal for the booking they belong to. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we work to keep your information commercially reasonable rather than promise perfection.

Our website and booking services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If we change this policy in a way that affects how we use your information, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, tell guests with an active booking.
